| STUDENT LOAN RESOURCES |

So I'm pretty sure the smart thing for me to do is to go to this Concorde Institute school right down the road from me. They offer a pharmacy technician program that typically takes between 9 and 12 months. If I get the degree I can work in pretty much any pharmacy, some drug stores even pay for the schooling. I just got this notice in the mail from GE for student loan services and I started filling out one about 20 minutes ago but my mom is asleep and I don't know her social or some of the other information I need so I'll have to finish it tomorrow. I requested $6,000 but I don't even know how much the schooling costs or if I'll even have to pay for it since I should probably try to apply at a CVS or a Walgreens first to see if they pay. There is a CVS and a Walgreens right close by so I could take a bus until I make enough to put a down payment on a car. I know I have to do something to start putting away money and working a decent paying job if I ever want to get a place of my own and start my life of independence. It sure is nice not having to answer to anyone and get up any time I want, but I'm fucking sick of not being able to drive myself wherever whenever. Plus this ebay shit isn't going to get me anywhere. This pharmacy tech thing will just be temporary because I do plan to go to a college sometime down the road as for right now I'm just going to ease myself into the schmuck routine, not dive headfirst, I don't do well under extreme pressures. I would like to get back into journalism and eventually write for a music magazine like Rolling Stone well never mind rolling stone pretty much sucks ass. There are only a few writers in there that have consistently enjoyable pieces. Okay this was just supposed to be a reference entry of sorts but I like writing and I usually don't stop until I feel totally vented about whatever is on the tip of my mind at the time. This will suffice.

Tonight's full Moon will be almost 12 percent bigger than some of the full Moons this year, according to NASA, setting up a fine viewing opportunity when it rises in the evening.
The reason: The Moon is near perigee, the point on its slightly out-of-round orbit that is closest to Earth.
This Moon is called the Harvest Moon, owing to its timing of being nearest the autumnal equinox. Farmers in the past relied on it to harvest all night. The Harvest Moon is not always closer and bigger than normal.
The Moon will rise around 6 p.m. local time (compute exact time for your location). It will be officially "full" at 11:13 p.m. ET, though the Moon is never really full.
Some other strange Moon facts:
* The Moon is not bigger when on the horizon. * The Moon is moving away as you read this. Far away. * There is no proof the Moon makes people crazy.
Late Monday night and into Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, the Moon will pass in front of the Pleiades star cluster, creating an interesting skywatching opportunity for skywatchers with telescopes. |

Subject: Save NPR and PBS (again)
Hi,
Everyone expected House Republicans to give up efforts to kill NPR and PBS after a massive public outcry stopped them last year. But they've just voted to eliminate funding for NPR and PBS—unbelievably, starting with programs like "Sesame Street."
Public broadcasting would lose nearly a quarter of its federal funding this year. Even worse, all funding would be eliminated in two years--threatening one of the last remaining sources of watchdog journalism.
Sign the petition telling Congress to save NPR and PBS again this year:
http://civic.moveon.org/publicbroadcasting/
Last year, millions of us took action to save NPR and PBS, and Congress listened. We can do it again if enough of us sign the petition in time.
This would be the most severe cut in the history of public broadcasting. The Boston Globe reports the cuts "could force the elimination of some popular PBS and NPR programs." NPR's president expects rural public radio stations may be forced to shut down.
The House and Senate are deciding if public broadcasting will survive, and they need to hear from viewers like you. Sign the petition at:
http://civic.moveon.org/publicbroadcasting/
Thanks!
P.S. Read the Boston Globe story on the threat to NPR and PBS at:

White man came across the sea He brought us pain and misery He killed our tribes, he killed our creed He took our game for his own need
We fought him hard we fought him well Out on the plains we gave him hell But many came too much for cree Oh will we ever be set free?
Riding through dustclouds and barren wastes Galloping hard on the plains Chasing the redskins back to their holes Fighting them at their own game Murder for freedom a stab in the back Women and children and cowards attack
Run to the hills run for your lives Run to the hills run for your lives
Soldier blue on the barren wastes Hunting and killing their game Raping the women and wasting the men The only good indians are tame Selling them whisky and taking their gold Enslaving the young and destroying the old
Run to the hills run for your lives |

October 24th Rise Against at Revolution. They're playing with Thursday. I used tobe a fan but I don't really care for them anymore. Lagwagon and A Wilhelm Scream tonight. Can't FUCKING wait. Photoshoot within the next 2 hours hopefully. Tiffy poo wakey wakey. We had to put Ziggy down yesterday he was in such bad shape. They put him under with anesthesia cause he had no veins for the shot. Im so sick of sadness and depression. I want something to go right for a change, someone to give me a break. I want to have a good fucking time. Lost another 2 pounds. Its fucking great I think its because I sleep so damn much I can't eat anything when Im sleeping then when I am awake Im keeping really active. I drank 5 beers last night and it's not good for my not-drinking pact which I'm obviously in gross violation of but whatever I had a bad day. This weekend had better be awesome. August 12th Im so going to that Bon Festival at Morikami mymom was like wow, we should go. Sold a couple things on ebay so far, I think theres going to be a viscious bidding war for those GBH, and Blanks 77 shirts Tiff Tiff gave me. 5 bids between the 2 so far and theres like 5 days left. I just self-tanned and I feel orange. Its an odd feeling to feel orange I must tell you.
( I miss my kitty so much already. ) |

POSTED: 10:53 am EDT July 25, 2006
MINNEAPOLIS -- Not weird enough? Read more strange news LOOK! Strange News Photos They weren't looking for brains -- they were looking to party. But participants in a "zombie dance party" ended up in jail after getting arrested in downtown Minneapolis.
Police said the dancers were wearing thick makeup and staggering along like the living dead Saturday evening. A few carried backpacks with wires sticking out.
The "zombies" were arrested on suspicion of having "simulated weapons of mass destruction." A friend of the group said the suspicious devices were homemade stereos.
The dancers spent the weekend in jail. No charges were filed, but police said members |
